Data Collection with 360 Media for Eye Tracking

Positional eye-tracking data in a 360 video or image

The gaze data points for viewing 360 media represent Cartesian coordinates in a 3D space. These coordinates are the result of an intersection calculation that determines where the user's gaze intersects with the surface of the sphere (the 360 video mapped onto a sphere).

The data is in standard 3D coordinates, but can be converted to Equirectangular using the Example Script "convert_to_pixels"
