3D Glasses Sync Emitter Guide
The 3D Glasses Sync Emitter enables wireless synchronization of 3D glasses with 3D display systems, such as Christie projectors or other professional 3D systems. This device ensures a seamless 3D viewing experience for up to 50 users by transmitting synchronization signals via RF, IR, or DLP-Link technologies. It is compatible with a wide range of 3D systems, making it ideal for virtual reality centers and professional applications.
Troubleshooting 3D Mode
Follow these steps to resolve common syncing and stereo issues when using an NVIDIA Quadro GPU in quad buffer mode with Christie or similar projectors:
-
Check Resolution and Refresh Rate:
- Open the NVIDIA Control Panel.
- Navigate to Change resolution and ensure the projector is set to 1280 x 720 @ 120Hz.
-
Enable Stereo Settings:
- Go to Manage 3D settings.
-
Verify that Stereo - Enable is set to On and Stereo - Display Mode is set to On board DIN connector.
-
Enable 3D Mode on the Projector:
-
Access the projector menu and confirm that 3D mode is enabled.
-
Check Emitter and Glasses Settings:
- Ensure the emitter is set to channel 8 (check the switch on the bottom).
-
Verify the glasses' switch (near the button) is in the forward position.
-
Restart Synchronization:
-
If the emitter does not blink twice every few seconds:
- Restart the synchronization script.
- If that doesn’t work, unplug the USB and Sync cables from the emitter, reconnect them, and restart the synchronization script.
-
Eliminate RF Interference:
-
Identify and reduce any possible sources of RF interference (e.g., nearby RF devices or Wi-Fi routers).
-
Stereo Swap Setting:
-
If the stereo effect looks incorrect, adjust the Stereo Swap setting in NVIDIA Control Panel > Manage 3D settings.
-
Multi-GPU Configurations:
-
For systems with multiple GPUs, ensure synchronized display settings in the NVIDIA Control Panel are configured correctly.
-
Debugging Projector Displays:
- If one display is inverted:
- Run the vizconnect configuration file.
- Use the Debug mode in the Displays tab to verify each display is showing the same image for both eyes.
- If needed, swap stereo images in the projector's menu for the affected display.
