3D Glasses with Head Tracking
The 3D Glasses with Head Tracking (PPT Eyes) enable precise head tracking within the PRISM system. This device features two LEDs, each covered by a white diffuser ball, providing X, Y, Z position data. The yaw and roll of the device are calculated based on the positions of the two tracking LEDs and their fixed distance from one another.
Key Features
- Head Tracking with Position Data:
- The device provides raw X, Y, Z position data for each LED, allowing accurate head tracking in the virtual environment.
- Yaw and Roll Calculation:
- The yaw and roll orientations are derived using the relative positions of the two LEDs, which maintain a fixed distance for stable tracking data.
Device Components
Power Button
- Location: Located on the top of the device.
- Operation:
- Press once to turn the device on or off.
- Manual Configuration Mode: Hold the button for more than one second to enter configuration mode.
LED Indicator Light
The LED on the device provides the following indications:
- Battery Charge Status:
- Charging: When plugged in, the LED blinks red. The blink speed decreases as the battery charges.

Battery
The 3D Glasses are equipped with a 350 mAh rechargeable lithium-ion battery. The following table shows approximate battery life based on LED intensity, with hours based on a new battery.
LED Intensity | Approximate Battery Life |
---|---|
Low | 6 hours |
Medium | 4 hours |
High | 3 hours |
Note
Choose the LED intensity based on the size of your tracking area to maximize battery life.
