PRISM Hotkeys Installer

The PRISM Hotkeys Installer sets up a custom integration for Elgato Stream Deck, enabling streamlined control of PRISM theater functions. This installer includes a specialized WorldViz PRISM Stream Deck Plugin, allowing users to trigger various theater commands directly from the Stream Deck device.

This guide does not cover configuring actions within the Stream Deck’s native authoring tool.

Prerequisites

Before installing PRISM Hotkeys, ensure the following:

  1. Connect the Stream Deck device to an available USB port.
  2. Install the Elgato Stream Deck software, which includes the necessary drivers:
  3. Download the latest version from Elgato’s support page.
  4. Install and launch the Stream Deck software.

Once these prerequisites are met, proceed with the PRISM Hotkeys installation.

Installation Steps

  1. Run the PRISM Installer: This will install PRISM and, at the final step, prompt you to install the WorldViz PRISM Stream Deck Plugin.
  2. Complete the Installation: After installation, the Elgato Stream Deck software will automatically launch.
  3. Configure Stream Deck Actions: Using the Elgato authoring tool, drag the newly available PRISM Hotkeys onto your Stream Deck profile to map them to physical buttons.

PRISM Plugin Functions

Once installed, the PRISM Stream Deck Plugin enables the following actions:

  • Turn theater projectors ON
  • Turn theater projectors OFF
  • Start Gallery Mode (with optional filter string and random/named ordering)
  • Start a specified scene (selected from a dropdown list)
  • Exit the current behavior (Gallery or Scene)

These functions provide quick, one-touch access to PRISM controls, streamlining theater operation.

Advanced Configurations

For more complex automation, such as adjusting volume when projectors turn on or off, use the multi-step macro features within the Stream Deck software. This allows users to chain multiple actions, such as:

  • Mute audio when projectors turn off
  • Restore audio when projectors turn on
  • Trigger a sequence of theater actions with a single button press

Installing Hotkeys Without PRISM

PRISM Hotkeys can be used independently of PRISM by installing the Elgato Stream Deck software and manually configuring Stream Deck actions with its built-in integrations.

Note

The WorldViz PRISM Stream Deck Plugin is optional and only necessary for direct integration with PRISM functions.
